“How can I restore my life?” A quick question we often ask ourselves while losing our ways. It’s never easy to push the button of the restart to restore balance in our lives. You’ve got to find ways on how to restore your life after getting into a big mess.
I know there are moments when we feel like a stray cat roaming around the road, confused, and looking for answers as to why, how, or what are we doing? Are we even on the right path?
With so many struggles in life, we only wanted to start a new one.
Many are the reasons as to why we lost track. Probably, we’re not yet ready to let go of the past. Things we often thought we should’ve done. Regrets that are hunting us, overthinking that kills our focus, and faith we took for granted.
However, don’t worry, for there are always ways on how to restore your life. Now, I’m here to share some thoughts I got from the preaching of our Pastor. (Pastor Ram) Hoping that you will all understand what I’ve written below and taken it from the heart so you won’t miss anything.
1. Write your vision
What is it that you’re excited about? Or something you look forward to in the future?
Simple questions you should ask yourself if you want to know how to restore your life.
Your vision teaches you discipline, guides your steps, and makes your priorities more organized. Imagine yourself not having something to look forward to in the future. Where would you be, or what do you think you’ll be doing? You can lose stuff and recover them but not without vision because, without it, we cast off restraint.
If you don’t want to waste time on unimportant things, have a vision. And even if it takes a lot of time to fulfill that vision, don’t give up on the in-between. Never settle for less; believe in your imagination; that’s one way you can restore your life back.
2. Be passionate
Another way to restore your life is to be passionate about what you do. Probably, you used to be passionate at some point in your life, yet as life takes you to a rocky road, you lose your passion. You forget to do things out of love. You become pessimistic about things and get easily discouraged by a simple failure.
Honestly, you don’t have to be great in order to be passionate about it. You just have to love what you do. Go back to the time when nothing really matters except for the adoration you have for things you wanted to do.
3. Stay focus
Having a focus can help you restore your life. You can accomplish more if you begin to have a focus in your life. But if you’re not, you tend to waste time on things you are not called to do. Refrain from being concerned about everybody to the point that you no longer have time for yourself. Learn to say no to things that are not helping you reach your goals in life. Instead, focus on what God has called you to do. Undoubtedly, your life won’t mess up once again.
4. Believe in your dreams
In order to restore your life, you have to believe in your goals. If you are consistent and believe that God gives you that dream, never let go of that. Instead, come back and restore that dream. It’s not too late to believe and reach what you’ve always wanted to do, just have faith.
5. Don’t forget your first love
Restoring life might not be that easy, but with God, nothing is impossible. Whatever is in your heart, never left your first love – that is Jesus, who died on that cross out of love for you. If you put him first, you’ll surely miss anything. It is not only for God’s glory, but it is for our own sake. Remind yourself that wonderful things happen to people who are in the right place. So STAY IN CHRIST.
6. Be productive and fruitful
One key to restore life is to be productive and fruitful. There are many opportunities in front of you. You only fail to recognize them because you’re too focused on other people’s harvests.
Always remember that being fruitful means being patient. You might not yet see the fruit of your labor, but understand that you have a different season. So don’t compare their harvest time to your sowing. Have faith, because faithful people tend to be more successful.
7. Have a spiritual sharpness
A person with spiritual sharpness is not making excuses. So, stop hiding in your insecurities, stop hiding in your cage, stop being a coward. Instead, pray that God will bring alignment back in your life. Pray for a sovereign move of God. Know that he can restore and bring a full recovery in life. What he needs is only your full cooperation.
If you’re that eager to restore your life, position yourself in the right place. Make God the center of your life, for he is the source of blessing and source of all kinds of breakthroughs. By his side, you will experience a full recovery.
